Haewon

Haewon (해원), born Oh Hae-won (오해원) on February 25, 2003, in Namdong District, Incheon, South Korea, is the leader and main vocalist of NMIXX, the six-member group operating under JYP Entertainment's SQU4D division. She trained at JYP for over four years before the group's debut — a tenure long enough that she witnessed multiple trainee cohorts form and change around her before the final NMIXX lineup crystallized. Her representative animal, a bear, reflects the warm, grounded quality her bandmates and the group's fanbase associate with her off-stage presence. NMIXX debuted on February 22, 2022, with the single album Ad Mare and the lead track "O.O." — a song whose structural layering and deliberate compositional complexity signaled an intent to do something different with the idol format from the first release. As leader, Haewon carries the communication layer of the group's public identity: she speaks on behalf of the group in press contexts, manages internal dynamics, and is responsible for the kind of cohesion that holds six strong individual personalities in a shared direction.
