Hwang Chan-sung
Hwang Chan-sung (황찬성), known as Chansung, came into 2PM as the youngest member but never read like a lightweight addition. After training at JYP Entertainment, he debuted with the group in 2008 and helped define the muscular stage language that made 2PM one of the key second-generation boy groups.
His solo lane has been most visible in Japan, where Complex opened a separate recording path and 2025's DAWN pushed him back into the conversation with a full-length release. At the same time, acting has become a serious parallel career rather than an idol side project, with roles across titles including What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, True to Love, Seoul Busters, and Ms. Incognito.
Chansung's current setup reflects that split focus. He remains part of 2PM while handling Korean acting work outside his original JYP Entertainment contract structure and continuing Japanese activity through HIAN Inc. That mix of group legacy, solo music, and working-actor credibility is what keeps his profile durable.
