Hwang Chan-sung
Hwang Chan-sung (황찬성), known by his stage name Chansung, is the maknae of second-generation K-pop powerhouse 2PM. Born February 11, 1990, in Seoul, he trained at Korean Arts High School after joining JYP Entertainment as a trainee, before earning a BA from Howon University and a master's degree in cinematography from Sejong University alongside bandmate Junho. He debuted on television as early as 2006 in MBC's Unstoppable High Kick before 2PM's music debut in September 2008 with 'Hottest Time of Day.' The group became one of the defining 'beast idol' acts of K-pop, scoring hits including 'Again and Again,' 'I'll Be Back,' and 'Heartbeat.' Chansung's acting career has run in parallel, with notable roles in What's Wrong with Secretary Kim (2018), True to Love (2023), Seoul Busters (2024), and Ms. Incognito (2025). He released his Japanese solo debut mini album Complex in 2018 and followed it with the full-length DAWN in October 2025, featuring collaborations with AK-69 and 2AM's Lee Chang-min. Following his JYP contract expiry, he joined L'July Entertainment in 2022 for acting activities while remaining a 2PM member.
