Ian

Ian (이안), born Jeong Lee-an (정이안) on October 9, 2009, is a South Korean idol and the center and face of Hearts2Hearts (하츠투하츠) under SM Entertainment. She was born in Hyehwa-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and grew up as an only child. A Catholic with the baptismal name Joelah, Ian entered SM Entertainment on October 15, 2022, having been cast via Instagram DMs. She spent three to four years training before debuting, placing her among the shorter trainee periods at the label. Before joining SM, Ian worked as a child model. She appeared in SM's "The Future" 30th anniversary video, an early signal of her center placement to come. Her MBTI is ENTP, her representative emoji is the pea pod (🫛), and her motto is "good fortune comes to those who laugh." She keeps a cat named Aru. Her role model is Girls' Generation's Yuri. When asked to recommend an SM song, she named Super Junior's "Devil." As of debut, she was the first SM idol born in 2009. Ian debuted with Hearts2Hearts on February 24, 2025, with the single album The Chase.
