Jin Sun Kyu
Jin Sun Kyu (진선규) is a South Korean actor who spent years honing his craft in theater before film and television audiences caught up with him. Born September 13, 1977, in Jinhae, South Gyeongsang Province, he trained at the Korea National University of Arts and built an extensive stage and musical theater portfolio before transitioning to screen work in 2004.
The breakthrough came with The Outlaws (2017), the crime action film that became one of the biggest Korean box office hits of that year. His performance earned him Best Supporting Actor at the 38th Blue Dragon Film Awards. He expanded that momentum with Extreme Job (2019), a comedy-action blockbuster that became the second highest-grossing Korean film domestically at the time, and the 2021 sci-fi spectacle Space Sweepers.
On the small screen, he headlined the family drama Typhoon Family (tvN, 2025) and the action series Heroes Next Door (ENA/Coupang Play, 2025). In 2026, he joins the supporting cast of the tvN colonial espionage drama 100 Day Lie opposite Kim Yoo Jung and Park Jinyoung.
