Kim Hong Sun (김홍선) is a Korean director and writer whose reputation rests on velocity, brutality, and visual control. He is one of the few filmmakers in the commercial lane who can make genre violence feel designed rather than generic.

His breakout film work started with Traffickers and The Con Artists, then widened through Metamorphosis and Project Wolf Hunting. In 2025 he extended that reach internationally by directing episodes of Gangs of London Season 3, and in 2026 he moves back into the Korean film conversation with Sal Saeng Bu starring Jung Woo Sung, Jung Sung Il, and Wi Ha-joon.
