NELL
NELL (넬) is one of the Korean bands that turned melancholy into a long-term signature rather than a temporary mood. Formed in 1999 and debuting in 2001, the group built its identity around Kim Jong-wan's voice, widescreen guitars, and songs that can feel intimate and cinematic at the same time.
The catalog is why the band still matters. Records such as Reflection of Nell, Slip Away, and COLORS IN BLACK gave NELL a serious body of work across indie credibility, festival durability, and streaming-afterlife relevance. The current phase also reads clearly: the band is now operating as a three-piece under Space Bohemian and still releasing new material, including 2026 single Loss in Motion.
That makes NELL a strong fit for NOL Festival. NOL Universe is using the event to test a cross-generational booking model, and NELL brings real catalog weight without feeling boxed into legacy-only nostalgia.
