Ong Seong-wu
Ong Seong-wu (옹성우) never fit the simple idol-to-actor script. Before Wanna One, he trained on the performance side, studied dance and acting, and built a reputation as a well-rounded contestant on Produce 101 Season 2, where he finished fifth. That balance of stage control, timing, and camera awareness carried straight into the group's 2017 debut and later gave him a cleaner transition into lead-screen work than many survival-show alumni manage.
Post-Wanna One, Ong moved quickly into acting with At Eighteen, then kept extending his range through titles like More Than Friends while still releasing solo music including Layers. He reads less like a former project-group member trying side quests and more like a multi-platform entertainer who understood early that durability would come from widening the lane, not repeating the same one. That is why his place in the 2026 reunion cycle still lands. He brings the recognisable charm fans remember, but also the sharper instincts of an actor who spent the years after disbandment building a second career with real weight.
