Yuri

Kwon Yu-ri (권유리) is a South Korean singer, actress, and songwriter who debuted as a member of Girls's Generation in August 2007. Born December 5, 1989, in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, she joined SM Entertainment in 2001 after placing second in the SM Youth Best Dancer Contest and trained for nearly six years. She is a cousin of actress Vivian Cha. Yuri graduated from Neunggok High School in 2008 and later earned a Theater and Film degree from Chung-Ang University (2016), receiving the school's Lifetime Achievement Award as Honorary Ambassador at her graduation ceremony. Alongside her group activities, Yuri built a parallel acting career across drama and film. Her notable roles include Fashion King (KBS2, 2012), Innocent Defendant (SBS, 2017), Dae Jang Geum Is Watching (MBC, 2018), Bossam: Steal the Fate (MBN, 2021), Good Job (ENA, 2022), and Parole Examiner Lee (KBS2, 2024). Her film debut came with No Breathing (2013). In January 2026, Yuri announced her return to the theater with the psychological thriller play The Wasp. As a soloist, Yuri made her debut with the EP The First Scene (2018). She has also contributed as a songwriter, co-writing tracks across her solo and group work. Within Girls's Generation, she served as a member of the Oh!GG sub-unit, known for the hit Lil' Touch. With 6 million Instagram followers and an active presence across Korean entertainment, Yuri represents the dual idol-actress archetype that defines the modern K-pop generation.
