Blue Vinyl
Blue Vinyl was the independent label Baek Yerin launched on November 6, 2019 after leaving JYP Entertainment. It mattered because it was not a routine agency transfer. Blue Vinyl became the company shell for an artist-owned reset, giving Baek a direct platform for releases, visuals, merchandise, and fan communication during one of the most creatively important stretches of her career.
That era covered the rollout around Every letter I sent you., later solo projects, and the period when her band activity also fed into the wider Blue Vinyl identity. The label never operated like a scale-first K-pop agency. Its value was precision: a compact, recognizable brand built around authorship, independence, and a cleaner line between artist and business.
Blue Vinyl's public chapter effectively closed in 2024 when Baek Yerin and related acts exited after contract expiration. Even so, the label still stands as one of the clearest examples of a top-tier Korean singer using an artist-controlled company to reframe her market position on her own terms.
