Lezhin Entertainment is the company behind Lezhin Comics, one of the premium-webtoon businesses that helped prove paid digital comics could scale outside Korea. The company built its reputation on curation, genre depth, and aggressive localization, then expanded that publishing base into film, drama, merchandise, and broader entertainment licensing.

Its international footprint matters because Lezhin has long operated as more than a domestic platform. The company pushed early into the US and Japan, then became part of the wider Kidari Studio ecosystem, giving the brand a larger role in cross-border webtoon IP strategy and adaptation.

In the TuMangaOnline crackdown, Lezhin was named among the participating Korean rights holders. That places the company inside the same rights-protection conversation as Kakao Entertainment, Naver Webtoon, and other companies now treating anti-piracy enforcement as a core part of webtoon growth.
