Choi Yoojung
Choi Yoojung (최유정) never built her career around one lane. She broke out through Produce 101 in 2016, finished third, and turned that momentum into a place in I.O.I before re-entering the long game with Weki Meki under Fantagio. From the start, the appeal was obvious: a main-dancer engine, real rap utility, and the kind of camera instinct that makes variety, music, and acting all feel natural on the same résumé.
Her solo turn never read like a break from group work. Sunflower in 2022 gave Yoojung a cleaner identity as a solo performer, then 2024's I hope and the final Weki Meki single CoinciDestiny pushed the story forward after the group closed its official chapter. Instead of fading into nostalgia, she kept widening the brief.
That is where the acting and musical-theatre work matters. Yoojung moved from screen roles like Love Revolution into stage productions such as Hero, then stepped into Peggy Sawyer in Broadway 42nd Street in 2025. It is the clearest version of her value now: not just an idol with history, but a performer who can keep finding new rooms to dominate.
