Choi Yoojung

Choi Yoojung (최유정), born November 12, 1999, in Guri, South Korea, is one of the most versatile performers to come out of the Produce 101 era. A singer, dancer, and actress, she built her reputation across multiple group projects before stepping out as a solo artist. She entered Mnet's Produce 101 in 2016 after nearly five years as a Fantagio trainee. Her third-place finish earned her a spot in I.O.I, the project group that launched careers across the 2016 K-pop landscape. When I.O.I disbanded in January 2017, she returned to Fantagio and debuted with Weki Meki in August 2017. Within the group she held the positions of main dancer, main rapper, and center -- a triple role that underscored just how much of the group's identity rested on her stage presence. Her dance style is one of the most aggressive in her generation: technically sharp, physically committed, and built for performance over polish. On variety and in fan content, she flips to a warm, high-energy persona that became a major driver of her individual following. That range made her one of the standout faces in a stacked I.O.I lineup that included Chungha. Weki Meki officially disbanded on August 8, 2024, after five members left Fantagio. Yoojung had already signaled a solo trajectory: she released her debut solo single album Sunflower in September 2022 and the digital single "I hope" in 2024. She remains signed to Fantagio and active as an actress and solo artist.
