Chungha (청하), born Kim Chan-mi, built one of the strongest solo catalogues of her generation by turning technical dance skill into pop precision. After placing fourth on Produce 101 and debuting with I.O.I in 2016, she moved into a solo lane that quickly outgrew the project-group afterglow. Hits like "Gotta Go" and "Snapping" established her as a performer who could carry both chart momentum and stage command without the safety net of a group formation. Born in Seoul on February 9, 1996, Chungha spent part of her childhood in Dallas before returning to South Korea to train. Her solo debut arrived in June 2017 with Hands on Me, but the real commercial leap came in 2019, when "Gotta Go" became one of the most durable crossover K-pop singles of its cycle. Her 2021 album Querencia widened the frame again, pushing through Latin pop, EDM, and R&B without losing the choreography-first edge that made her rise feel distinct.
