Epik High
Epik High (에픽하이) built one of the few catalogs in Korean music that still feels dangerous after two decades. Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz debuted in 2003 and turned sharp writing, dark humor, and emotional wreckage into a group identity that could reach both rap fans and the mainstream. Songs like Fly, Fan, and Born Hater helped define what Korean hip-hop sounded like outside idol formulas.
The trio has moved through Woollim Entertainment, YG Entertainment, and its own company OURS Co. without losing the tension that makes the music hit. That independence matters. It let Epik High keep releasing on its own terms while building a global touring business, festival credibility, and one of the strongest live reputations in Korean rap.
In 2026, Epik High still reads like a prestige booking rather than a legacy act. The group remains active after 2024 EP Pump and continues to land major stages including Seoul Jazz Festival. Few Korean groups from the early 2000s have aged forward this cleanly.
