Gyehyeon
Jo Gye-hyeon (조계현), known as Gyehyeon, is a lead vocalist of VERIVERY and one of the clearest tonal signatures in the group's catalog. Since debuting under Jellyfish Entertainment on January 9, 2019, he has handled the melodic center of a discography that moved from bright rookie material into darker, more tension-heavy releases. His voice gives VERIVERY lift without softening its edge, which is part of why he became so important once the group's sound started sharpening around the Face Me and Series 'O' era.
Gyehyeon's value sits in control rather than volume. On stage he is the member who keeps VERIVERY's hooks emotionally legible even when the choreography and visual concept lean aggressive. That became especially clear during the group's run on Mnet's Road to Kingdom, where VERIVERY's performance scale jumped and the vocal line had to hold up under heavier staging. His later work across releases like Face Us, Series O Round 3: Whole, and Liminality - EP.Dream helped define the group's more mature second phase.
In 2025, Gyehyeon briefly stepped into the survival-show circuit through Boys II Planet, then returned to group activity and opened a more direct lane to fans through his personal Instagram. That combination of public competition exposure and steady group work reinforced what long-time listeners already knew: Gyehyeon is one of the members who keeps VERIVERY coherent when the concept shifts, the arrangement gets denser, or the pressure around a comeback increases.
