Hwang Min-hyun
Hwang Min-hyun (황민현) built one of third-generation K-pop's cleanest crossover arcs, moving from NU'EST lead vocalist to a Wanna One centerpiece and then into a solo singer-actor run that still feels controlled rather than opportunistic. Under Pledis Entertainment, he established a reputation for polish, vocal restraint, and an on-camera calm that translated cleanly from group promotions into drama work.
The first reset came in 2017, when Produce 101 Season 2 and Wanna One pushed him to a much wider mainstream audience. The second came in 2023 with the EP Truth or Lie, which gave him a sharper solo frame after the long NU'EST chapter. On screen, Alchemy of Souls, My Lovely Liar, and Study Group proved he could hold fantasy, romance, and youth-action material without leaning on idol goodwill alone.
The 2026 context matters because it is post-service and momentum-sensitive. After completing public service in late 2025, Min-hyun returned to public schedules with a fanbase that still spans music, television, and the reunion attention around Mnet and Mnet Plus projects. HITKULTR should read him as more than a former project-group success. He is still one of Pledis' clearest examples of a vocalist who turned composure into a durable multi-platform career.
