Hyunjun
Hyunjun (현준) is the leader of NOUERA, the multinational K-pop boy group under Nouer Entertainment. Born Jang Hyun-jun (장현준) on November 29, 2003, in South Korea, he secured the 4th spot in KBS2 survival competition MAKEMATE1, where his vocal power and charismatic stage presence stood out from the start.
MAKEMATE1 aired from May to July 2024, putting 36 trainees without agency backing through a public elimination format. Hyunjun was chosen as one of the final seven, and when the group name NOUERA (누에라, combining the French word nouer, "to tie together," with "era") was announced in August 2024, he was designated leader. He has driven NOUERA through a rapid rise: from pre-debut single "Infinity" (무한대) in December 2024, to debut EP Chapter: New Is Now in February 2025, to a career-high 240,000 first-week album sales with POP IT LIKE in March 2026.
Before the official debut, NOUERA built an international fanbase through a September 2023 fan meeting at Toyosu PIT in Tokyo, a performance at the 2024 Good Night Concert in Busan at Haeundae Beach, and a slot at the Music Bank Global Festival in Fukuoka in December 2024. In November 2024, Billboard named them the "2025 K-pop Rookie" at the Billboard No. 1s Party in Los Angeles. The fandom, called NovA (New Orbit Via Aurora), assembled during the pre-debut period and has followed the group to every milestone since. His role models include SEVENTEEN and BTS member Jungkook, and that vocal-meets-stage energy is evident in every NOUERA performance he leads.
