iKON

iKON (아이콘) is a South Korean boy band currently under 143 Entertainment, originally formed by YG Entertainment through the 2013 survival show WIN: Who Is Next and 2014 follow-up Mix and Match. The group debuted on September 15, 2015 with "My Type," which immediately topped Korean charts. Their second studio album Return (2018) produced "Love Scenario," which set a record for most consecutive weeks at number one on the Gaon Digital Chart (6 weeks) and was later named one of Rolling Stone 100 greatest Korean pop songs. Originally a seven-member group with B.I as leader and sole producer, iKON continued as a six-member act after his departure in June 2019. Current members are Jay, Song, Bobby, DK, Ju-ne, and Chan. After leaving YG Entertainment in December 2022, all six members signed with 143 Entertainment and released their third studio album Take Off in May 2023, followed by global touring. In January 2026, all six members renewed their contracts with 143 Entertainment, with YG allowing the group to retain their name as a gesture of goodwill. The group announced a new album scheduled for April 2026, marking their continued activity as a full group. Bobby released solo material and married in 2021, while Song enlisted for military service in August 2024 (discharge: February 2026) and Ju-ne followed with his own enlistment in 2024.
