B.I
B.I (비아이), born Kim Hanbin (김한빈), already had unusual creative leverage before his solo run because he was the writing and production center of iKON during the YG Entertainment years. He debuted with the group in 2015, wrote or co-wrote its defining records, and turned Love Scenario into one of the biggest Korean pop songs of the decade, a run that culminated in Songwriter of the Year honors at the 2018 Melon Music Awards.
His post-2019 reset mattered because it was not a cosmetic rebrand. B.I launched 131LABEL, later operating publicly as 131 Online, and rebuilt his catalog around self-directed releases including Waterfall, Cosmos, To Die For, and Wonderland. The solo work kept his producer identity intact while pushing him deeper into melodic rap, alt-pop, and international collaboration.
That story stayed active into 2026 with the single BUZZIN before he entered public-service military duty in March. Even in enlistment season, B.I's profile reads like more than ex-idol nostalgia. He remains one of the few Korean solo artists whose company story, songwriting resume, and own discography all carry real weight.
