Jay
Jay (제이), real name Park Jongseong (박종성), is a Korean-American rapper, vocalist, and lyricist who brought a bilingual edge to ENHYPEN from the group's debut. Born in Seoul but raised from age nine in Seattle, Washington, he returned to Korea to pursue music and debuted under BELIFT LAB in November 2020 after finishing second in the I-Land global vote.
As ENHYPEN's lead rapper, Jay became one of the group's most versatile performers: capable on rap-heavy tracks, synchronized choreography, and the variety content that sustains K-pop fandoms between releases. He speaks Korean, English, and Japanese -- a combination that made him the group's most adaptable communicator across three major markets. In May 2024, he became the first ENHYPEN member to receive a dedicated Spotify artist profile, an early signal of his solo commercial viability.
Beyond his group output, Jay collaborated with Japanese rock band GLAY on the single "whodunit" in May 2024, released to commemorate GLAY's 30th debut anniversary. He participated as both vocalist and lyricist on the track, earning crossover recognition among Japanese rock audiences. Jay continues with ENHYPEN as part of the group's active lineup, with THE SIN: VANISH (2026) and ROMANCE: UNTOLD (2024) as his most recent major credits.
