Jay
Jay (제이), born Park Jongseong (박종성), is one of the sharpest connective figures in ENHYPEN: a Korean-American performer whose fluency in Korean, English, and Japanese has made him central to the group's global identity since its 2020 debut under BELIFT LAB. Raised partly in Seattle before returning to Korea, he arrived with the kind of cultural range that modern idol groups need and very few members can actually carry in real time.
Inside ENHYPEN, Jay operates as both rapper and vocalist, but his appeal is not limited to line distribution. He is one of the members most comfortable switching between performance, press, and fan-facing content, which matters when a HYBE-backed act is moving across markets at this scale. That versatility helped define ENHYPEN's post-debut rise, from early survival-show momentum to arena-level global fandom.
His clearest individual milestone so far came in May 2024, when he became the first ENHYPEN member to receive a dedicated Spotify artist profile. The same year, he crossed into Japanese rock through "whodunit," a collaboration with GLAY that credited him as both vocalist and lyricist. It was a small but telling move: Jay is not simply an idol with good language skills. He is one of the members most legible to the international music business, and that gives his solo runway real weight whenever ENHYPEN enters a new cycle.
