Jo (조) is a vocalist, visual, and center of &TEAM, the nine-member boy group under YX Labels (formerly HYBE Labels Japan). Born Asakura Jo (朝倉穣) on July 8, 2004, in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, Jo brings a quiet, irreplaceable magnetism to one of K-pop's most globally watched Japanese groups. A former BigHit trainee, Jo entered the &AUDITION - The Howling - survival program and was confirmed as one of the nine finalists on September 3, 2022. He stood out for his composed bearing and a face that became a consistent talking point in the fandom. &TEAM debuted December 7, 2022, with First Howling: ME. Their Korean debut arrived October 28, 2025, with Back to Life, which earned a triple crown on three major music shows that November. Jo is left-handed, an avid basketball player since high school, and describes himself as careless. His MBTI is INFP. He participated in the Junon Superboy Contest in 2021.
