Jun Ji-hyun (전지현, born Wang Ji-hyun on October 30, 1981) is a South Korean actress and model who rose to fame with the romantic comedy film My Sassy Girl (2001). Known internationally as Gianna Jun, she built her career across film and television, earning recognition as a defining figure of the Hallyu wave.

Jun made her breakthrough with My Sassy Girl, which became the highest-grossing Korean comedy at the time and launched her to pan-Asian stardom. She followed with Il Mare (2000, remade as The Lake House in Hollywood), Windstruck (2004), and The Thieves (2012), which set domestic box office records. Her action thriller work in The Berlin File (2013) and Assassination (2015) demonstrated her range beyond romantic leads.

Her television career peaked with My Love from the Star (2013-2014) and The Legend of the Blue Sea (2016-2017), both massive commercial successes that reinforced her status as a top-tier actress.
