Kang Seok-hwa
Kang Seok-hwa (강석화), born December 1, 2000, in Gongju, South Chungcheong Province, is a South Korean singer whose debut story was shaped by some of the most competitive trainee systems in K-pop. Before joining WEi, he passed through both JYP and YG's pipelines, appeared on YG Treasure Box in 2018, then returned to the public eye through Produce X 101 in 2019. The important detail is not that those shows did not hand him a debut. It is that he kept getting back in line and improved enough to stay in the conversation.
That persistence carried him to Oui Entertainment, where he became a founding member of WEi in October 2020. His role in the group has never relied on headline-grabbing theatrics. He is valuable because he is steady. Seok-hwa brings reliable vocals, clean execution, and the kind of stage discipline that comes from years of public evaluation before an official debut ever arrived.
His path also carries one of WEi's better-known formation details. Kim Yo-han reportedly recommended him during the team-building process, which makes sense once you watch how naturally he fits into the group's chemistry. From the early Identity releases through Love Pt.2 : Passion, Love Pt.3 : Eternally, The Feelings, Wonderland, and the 2026 single Save, Seok-hwa has become one of the members who helps keep WEi balanced.
