Kim Doyeon
Kim Doyeon (김도연) went from survival show contestant to Blue Dragon Award winner in under a decade. Born December 4, 1999, in Incheon, she placed eighth on Produce 101 and debuted with I.O.I in 2016. After the group disbanded, she returned to Fantagio and co-led Weki Meki alongside fellow I.O.I alumna Choi Yoojung from 2017 until the group's disbandment in August 2024.
Standing at 172cm with visuals the Korean media nicknamed "human Barbie," Doyeon had always commanded attention. But it was her pivot to acting that proved she had substance to match. She studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, and her film debut in Idiot Girls and School Ghost: School Anniversary (2024) earned her Best New Actress at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards. Fantagio renewed her exclusive contract in November 2024.
2025 marked a full transition. She made her musical theater debut in Anna X (January 2025), attended the Saint Laurent show at Paris Fashion Week in June, and landed the November 2025 cover of ELLE Korea x Polene.
