Kim Go-eun (김고은) has spent a decade proving that range is not a buzzword. Born July 2, 1991, in Seoul and raised partly in Beijing, she returned to South Korea and made one of the most striking film debuts in recent Korean cinema history with A Muse (2012), winning the Grand Bell Award for Best New Actress at 21. What followed was a filmography that resists easy categorization. Cheese in the Trap (2016) established her on the small screen, and then Goblin (2016) turned her into a household name across Asia, her chemistry with Gong Yoo becoming the gold standard for K-drama romance. The King: Eternal Monarch (2020) paired her with Lee Min-ho in a parallel-universe thriller that drew global audiences on Netflix. But Kim Go-eun is not just a drama actress.
