Kim Yeon-ji
Kim Yeon-ji (김연지) is the lead vocalist of SeeYa, the female ballad trio that dominated Korean charts in the late 2000s. Her dynamic vocal range anchored the group through three studio albums and a sweep of 2007 awards, including Best Female Group at the Mnet Asian Music Awards and wins at the Golden Disk Awards and MKMF Awards for hit single Love's Greetings. After SeeYa disbanded in 2011, she transitioned into musical theater while continuing to release solo material. She graduated from Kyung Hee University's Postmodern Music Department in 2013 with an unusually high GPA for an entertainment figure, submitting a thesis focused on the songs she had performed during her group career.
Now signed to MAJOR9, she co-wrote the lyrics for SeeYa's 2026 comeback single "Nevertheless, We" (그럼에도, 우리) and serves as an executive at SeeYa Co., Ltd. Twenty years after her debut, she remains one of the most technically precise vocalists to come out of 2nd generation K-pop.
