SeeYa
SeeYa (씨야) debuted on February 24, 2006, under Core Contents Media, marketed as the female vocal counterpart to male group SG Wannabe. The trio of Nam Gyu-ri, Kim Yeon-ji, and Lee Bo-ram landed on Korean charts immediately with their debut single A Woman's Scent. Their 2007 album Lovely Sweet Heart sold over 81,000 copies, ranking fifth among all Korean albums that year. The single Love's Greetings swept the 2007 Golden Disk Awards and MKMF Awards and earned them Best Female Group at the Mnet Asian Music Awards.
The original run ended in stages. Nam Gyu-ri's contract dispute with the label in 2009 led to her departure, and the group tried various configurations before disbanding in January 2011. For 15 years the three members built separate careers: Kim Yeon-ji in musical theater, Lee Bo-ram in variety and solo releases through WSG Wannabe (2022), and Nam Gyu-ri across acting and solo music.
In March 2026, they reunited for the 20th anniversary of their debut and did it on their own terms. All three members formed SeeYa Co., Ltd. as an independent project company where each holds an executive position. Their pre-release single "Nevertheless, We" (그럼에도, 우리), produced by Park Geun-tae with lyrics co-written by all three members, dropped March 30, 2026 at 6 PM KST. The MV teaser, released two days earlier on March 28, showed the trio performing against a stark black-and-white cliff backdrop -- a visual choice that matched the song's emotional gravity and signaled they were not interested in nostalgia for its own sake. The same-day fan meeting at EDLS in Jongno-gu, Seoul sold out before tickets reached general sale. A full fourth studio album is planned for May 2026.
