Lee Jin Kyu
Lee Jin Kyu (이진규) is entering 2026 through one of the more interesting hybrid launches in the Korean idol-drama lane. In My Idol, My Debut, MBC Plus and Minari Entertainment are not treating the fictional boy group Boy to the Moon like disposable plot furniture. The project is built to keep moving through official music releases and stage performances, which gives Lee Jin Kyu a launch frame with longer commercial runway than a standard supporting drama debut.
That is why his role as Kaden matters. Cast reporting placed him alongside Q, Lee Jin Hyuk, and Lee Ho Hyun inside the core Boy to the Moon lineup, but the real selling point is format. South Korea has plenty of idol dramas. Far fewer are this explicit about trying to turn a scripted act into a real fan-facing entertainment product after the broadcast starts.
For Lee Jin Kyu, that means the first impression has to do two jobs at once. He has to sell Kaden inside the time-slip coming-of-age story, and he also has to register as someone viewers may keep tracking once Boy to the Moon starts operating like an actual rookie act. That is a narrower lane than a prestige-drama debut, but it is a sharper one.
