Maki

Maki (마키) is a Japanese-German vocalist and the youngest member of &TEAM under YX Labels. Born Hirota Riki Wilhelm Mauss on February 17, 2006 in Tokyo, he is the group's maknae and its tallest member at 183 cm. His German-Japanese heritage is a rare presence in the Japanese idol industry, and comes up in fan culture as frequently as his height does.

Before idol training, Maki studied ballet for five years from ages 8 to 13, a foundation that informs his performance precision on stage. He entered &AUDITION: The Howling in 2022 and secured his spot when the lineup was announced September 3. At just 16, he became one of the youngest members to debut with &TEAM on December 7, 2022.

MBTI ESTJ. He has cited watching I-LAND as the moment he understood what idol training could be. Across the group's discography through 2024, Maki grew into a consistent vocal contributor, with his expanded lines on Back to Life noted by fans as a visible marker of that growth.

The Korean debut came October 28, 2025 with Back to Life, &TEAM's first Korean mini album. The title track won Music Bank on November 7, 2025. Maki's presence as the group's youngest, combined with his bilingual German-Japanese background, makes him one of its most distinct members.
