Mark Tuan
Mark Tuan (단이언, Mark Yi En Tuan; born September 4, 1993, Los Angeles, California, USA) is one of K-pop's few genuinely Taiwanese-American crossover acts, and the most prominent Western-raised member of GOT7. Born in Los Angeles to Taiwanese immigrant parents, he trained in wushu from childhood, reaching a competitive level that later informed his acrobatic stage presence in the group. When GOT7 debuted at JYP Entertainment in January 2014, Mark was one of the group's principal dancers and a key part of its performance identity.
After JYP, he signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and set about building a dual presence across the US and Korean entertainment industries. "One in a Million," released in February 2021, was his first solo English-language single - a deliberate statement of intent toward Western audiences. His 2023 debut album My Life was followed by Fallin', an EP released on October 27, 2024, which included "Everyone Else Fades," "Your World," and the title track. Throughout 2024, he toured Asia and Latin America on The Other Side world tour. In June 2025, he released "High As You" via Transparent Arts, showcasing a more mature sound and earning him Spotify Wrapped Live appearances in Thailand.
Mark has been publicly vocal about Asian American representation and the specific experience of navigating the Korean entertainment industry as someone who grew up in Los Angeles - an identity dimension that resonates with a portion of the K-pop fanbase that does not see itself reflected in most idol narratives. His social following exceeds ten million across platforms. With GOT7's collective return under AROUND US Entertainment from January 2025, he continues to balance active group work with an expanding independent solo trajectory now backed by international management.
