Park Joon-hwa (박준화) built his career on the kind of tonal control that makes romantic comedies look effortless and feel earned. Let's Eat established his playbook. The episodic emotional beats, the refusal to rely on melodrama, the camera that lingers on a meal the same way other directors linger on a kiss. He followed it with Bring It On, Ghost (2016) and Because This Is My First Life (2017) before landing his first mainstream breakout with What's Wrong with Secretary Kim (tvN, 2018).
