Sandara Park
Sandara Park (박산다라), better known as Dara, has had one of the strangest and most durable careers in Korean pop. She first broke through in the Philippines on ABS-CBN's Star Circle Quest before returning to Korea and reentering the industry through YG Entertainment, a path that gave her mass-market name recognition before 2NE1 ever debuted.
Inside 2NE1, Dara brought a different kind of star power. She was not the group's loudest weapon, but she made its sharp styling and anti-formula attitude feel public-facing, accessible, and instantly memorable. That role stayed valuable long after the group's first run, especially as 2NE1's catalog kept gaining new life across streaming, fashion nostalgia, and festival conversation.
Her post-YG chapter has been about range rather than reinvention theater. Since joining Abyss Company, Dara has balanced music, hosting, digital content, and the 2023 EP Sandara Park while keeping a strong direct line to fans through her own channels. The 2024 and 2025 Welcome Back Tour with 2NE1 confirmed something the market already knew: Dara remains a cross-generational pop figure whose relevance sits across Korea, Southeast Asia, and the wider Hallyu memory bank at once.
