Seulgi
Kang Seul-gi (강슬기), known mononymously as Seulgi, is a South Korean singer and dancer under SM Entertainment. Born February 10, 1994, in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, she trained at SM for seven years before debuting as a founding member of Red Velvet on August 1, 2014.
Widely recognized as the group's performance anchor, Seulgi has set a standard for technical precision in K-pop girl group choreography. Her solo debut came in October 2022 with the mini album 28 Reasons, a dark fantasy concept that drew on her strengths as a performer and songwriter. In February 2024, she launched a personal YouTube channel, Hi Seulgi, expanding her presence into lifestyle and vlog content.
Alongside Irene, she leads Red Velvet's sub-unit Red Velvet - Irene & Seulgi. The unit returned in May 2025 with their second mini album TILT, nearly five years after their debut project Monster. She is also a member of the SM supergroup Got the Beat, which debuted in 2022.
In January 2025, she collaborated with veteran singer Kim Wan-sun on the digital single "Lucky," produced by JYP.
