Shin Ha Kyun
Shin Ha Kyun (신하균) has spent more than two decades proving that Korean leading men do not need to flatten themselves into one lane. He came up through theater after training at the Seoul Institute of the Arts, then broke through in film with Joint Security Area, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, and Save the Green Planet!. Those performances established him as an actor willing to chase unstable, difficult, and deeply human characters instead of easy heroics.
Television brought a second wave of recognition. Brain made him a mainstream drama lead, while Beyond Evil earned him the 57th Baeksang Arts Award for Best Actor in Television. He carried that momentum into The Auditors, reminding viewers that his precision works just as well in tightly engineered commercial dramas as it does in darker character studies.
In Fifties Professionals, Shin returns to MBC as Jung Ho Myung, a former National Intelligence Service black agent who has spent a decade disguised as a Chinese restaurant chef on Yeongseon Island. Paired with Oh Jung-se and Heo Sung Tae, he gives the series its most controlled kind of danger.
