So Geon

So Geon (소건; Japanese: ソ ゴン; formerly known as Ken / 建 / 켄) is a vocalist and the visual of NEXZ, the seven-member Japanese boy group formed by JYP Entertainment and Sony Music Labels through the survival show Nizi Project Season 2. Born September 13, 2006, in Tokyo, Japan, to Korean parents, So Geon holds Korean nationality -- making him the only Korean national in the group -- and speaks Japanese fluently while developing his Korean language skills. Raised in Tokyo, So Geon grew up singing and dancing with his three sisters, one of whom runs a YouTube channel. His father worked in IT; his mother is a housewife. He had no formal dance training before auditioning for Nizi Project Season 2 in Tokyo in 2023, where he was initially introduced under the Japanese nickname Ken. Before his official debut, he adopted his real Korean name as his stage identity. He ranked fourth in the Season 2 finals. So Geon debuted with NEXZ on May 20, 2024, with the single album Ride the Vibe, and has since appeared on the EP Nallina (November 2024) and the Korean comeback EP O-RLY? (April 2025). An avid photographer and fashion enthusiast, he serves as the group's cultural bridge between Japanese and Korean audiences, bringing warmth, visual presence, and a camera-first eye to everything NEXZ does.
