So Jung Hwan

So Jung Hwan (소정환), known by his stage name Junghwan, is a South Korean singer and the maknae of K-pop boy group TREASURE under YG Entertainment. Born February 18, 2005, in Iksan, North Jeolla Province, he competed on survival reality show YG Treasure Box in 2018 before officially debuting with TREASURE on August 7, 2020, with the single album The First Step: Chapter One. His English name is John So.

Within TREASURE, Junghwan serves as a vocalist and lead dancer, celebrated for his natural stage presence and bright energy. He is a member of the T5 subunit alongside Jihoon, Junkyu, Yoshi, and Doyoung. Before pursuing music, Junghwan was a serious martial artist, holding a 4th-dan black belt in Taekwondo and training with the K-TIGERS team. He participated in national competitions and performed acrobatic demonstrations -- a foundation that visibly informs his dynamic stage movement to this day.

Growing up in Iksan, Junghwan was childhood friends with fellow TREASURE member Jeongwoo -- the two attended the same dance academy, IB Music Academy, long before their YG days. As a child, he was also a commercial model, most notably appearing in a Yeongdong peaches ad at age nine. His warm, upbeat personality has earned him a collection of fan nicknames: Baby Hwan, Sloth (courtesy of Junkyu), Super King Cow Baby (from Jeongwoo), and Maknaengie.

In March 2026, Junghwan was named a regular MC for Mnet M Countdown alongside ZEROBASEONE Park Gun Wook and KickFlip Kyehoon -- his first major solo hosting role outside of group activities. He stands 180.3 cm tall, with an ENFP-T MBTI type, blood type B, and Cranberry as his TREASURE representative color.
