Sungjin
Park Sung-jin (박성진), known as Sungjin, is the leader, main vocalist, and rhythm guitarist of DAY6 under JYP Entertainment. Born in Busan on January 16, 1993, he debuted with DAY6 on September 7, 2015 and quickly became the band's tonal center: the member who gives its catalog weight, grit, and melodic control without sanding the emotion off the song.
That role matters because DAY6 has always operated like a real band rather than an idol act borrowing instruments for aesthetics. Sungjin's guitar work and writing credits run through cornerstone releases such as Sunrise, The Book of Us: Gravity, and Negentropy. He is the vocalist the rest of the arrangement leans on, whether the track needs a bruised rock line or a cleaner ballad register.
His first solo full-length album 30 arrived on November 5, 2024 and reframed him as more than the frontman inside a group format. The 10-track record pushed his writing toward a more intimate singer-songwriter lane while keeping the live-band DNA that made DAY6 resonate in the first place. It widened the conversation around Sungjin from dependable band leader to one of JYP's most fully formed adult rock vocalists.
