Sungjin (DAY6)

Sungjin (성진), born Park Sung-jin (박성진), has always been the stabilizing center of DAY6. As leader, main vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and one of the group's defining songwriters, he helped prove that a K-pop act under JYP Entertainment could operate like a real band without sacrificing mainstream scale. That balance became DAY6's entire identity, and Sungjin's voice sits at the heart of it.

He entered public view before debut through trainee-era television appearances, then formally launched with DAY6 in September 2015 on The Day. Over the years, his writing and vocal presence anchored fan favorites like "Congratulations" and later songs that pushed the band from cult-respected live act into one of Korea's most trusted pop-rock names. Sungjin does not perform like a typical idol frontman. He performs like a band leader whose credibility comes from stamina, tone, and musical direction.

That carried into his solo phase too. After military service and his return to regular public activity, Sungjin released the full-length album 30 in November 2024 and quickly backed it with solo concerts. The move felt less like a side quest than a natural extension of what DAY6 listeners already knew: his songwriting voice can hold a room on its own.
