Youngjae
Youngjae (최영재) has spent more than a decade proving that a main vocalist can keep his technical edge without sanding down the emotion. He debuted with GOT7 in January 2014, and his tone has remained one of the group's clearest signatures ever since: bright, full, and able to push hard without losing warmth. That balance gave him a distinct place in second-wave idol pop, then carried cleanly into his solo years.
His post-JYP catalog has done a good job of showing range without losing identity. COLORS from Ars introduced his solo frame in 2021, Sugar pushed further into polished pop and R&B in 2022, and the full-length Do It in 2023 gave him a larger-format release to build around. In 2024 he extended that run with the digital single T.P.O, then in 2025 followed with Fermata, a two-track single that kept the focus on voice-first material rather than spectacle-first rollout.
The group chapter stayed just as relevant. GOT7's reunion mini album WINTER HEPTAGON arrived in January 2025, with Youngjae credited on "Our Youth," which underlined how naturally his songwriting and vocal identity still fit the septet. Off stage, his current setup is equally clear: he signed with AndBut Company in June 2024, and his official site at youngjaexars.com gives his solo work a direct hub that many idol vocalists never bother to build. That combination of group legacy, solo consistency, and live-proof vocal skill is why Youngjae keeps holding value beyond quick comeback cycles.
