Zhou Jieqiong
Zhou Jieqiong (周洁琼), known to many K-pop fans as Kyulkyung, is one of the clearest examples of an idol who successfully translated Produce-era visibility into a second career with real scale. She finished sixth on Produce 101, debuted with I.O.I on May 4, 2016, then moved into Pledis Entertainment's next-generation girl-group plan through Pristin and Pristin V.
The harder pivot came after that first chapter. Instead of living only on K-pop nostalgia, Zhou shifted her center of gravity back to China and rebuilt around screen work. Miss Truth, Be My Princess, Romance in the Alley, FEUD, and Bamboo Pavilion by the Huai River pushed her deeper into the actress lane while keeping the idol-era recognition intact.
That dual-market identity is still the point. Korean audiences remember the Kyulkyung precision and visibility of the I.O.I and Pristin years. Chinese viewers increasingly know her through streaming dramas released under Zhou Jieqiong Studio. Not many artists cross those markets without losing definition. Zhou managed it by changing mediums without losing control of her image.
