Autry is an American footwear brand founded in Dallas, Texas in 1982 by Jim Autry. Built initially on court-ready sneakers for tennis, running, and aerobics, the brand found its signature in the Medalist silhouette -- a low-profile canvas and leather sneaker that crossed from athletics into streetwear before the category had a name.
After Jim Autry died in 2009, the brand went dormant for a decade.
