Bon Factory Worldwide
Bon Factory Worldwide (본팩토리월드와이드) is a South Korean drama production company and subsidiary of CJ ENM. Founded in 2008 by co-CEOs Moon Suk-hwan and Oh Kwang-hee (known as Ken Oh), the studio has built one of the most consistent hit-making records in Korean television across nearly two decades.
Its catalog spans some of the most-watched dramas of the streaming era: You Are Beautiful (2009), Master's Sun (2013), She Was Pretty (2015), What's Wrong with Secretary Kim (2018), Encounter (2018), and Lovely Runner (2024). The latter became a global phenomenon on tvN and Netflix, ranking in Netflix's top 10 non-English series and reigniting interest in K-drama romance across multiple markets. Bon Appetit, Your Majesty (2025), a royal-era culinary romance starring Yoona of Girls' Generation, ranked #3 globally on Netflix's non-English series chart in its launch week, cementing Bon Factory's position as one of Korea's premiere romantic drama studios.
CJ ENM acquired Bon Factory in 2019 as part of its push to vertically integrate Korean content production. In January 2021, Bon Factory signed a multi-year development deal with Endeavor Content to co-develop English- and Korean-language series for the global market, signaling its ambition beyond domestic broadcast. The studio operates without public-facing social media channels, preferring to channel audience engagement through each drama's dedicated accounts and the CJ ENM parent brand.
