CJ ENM is the entertainment arm of the CJ Group and one of the most powerful media conglomerates in Asia. The company operates across film, television, music, and live entertainment, running a portfolio that touches nearly every corner of Korean pop culture. On the broadcast side, CJ ENM controls tvN (home to prestige K-dramas like Crash Landing on You and Reply 1988), music channel Mnet, and the streaming platform Tving. Its film division, CJ Entertainment, distributed Bong Joon-ho's Parasite, the first non-English-language film to win Best Picture at the Academy Awards. Production subsidiary Studio Dragon is the largest K-drama production house in the country, supplying content to Netflix, Disney+, and Tving simultaneously. In music, CJ ENM runs two of the biggest events in the K-pop calendar: KCON, the touring convention-concert hybrid that has expanded to Los Angeles, Tokyo, Bangkok, and beyond, and MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards), the annual ceremony that regularly trends worldwide. The company's music production arm has launched and managed artists through subsidiaries and joint ventures, giving it influence across the full entertainment value chain. CJ ENM pushed into short-form content in 2025 with Tving Short Originals, producing two-minute episode series as part of Korea's micro-drama boom. The move positions the company alongside platforms like Vigloo in the race to capture mobile-first audiences. Headquartered in Seoul and backed by the broader CJ Group (which spans food, logistics, and biotech), CJ ENM is the infrastructure behind much of what the world calls the Korean Wave.
