UNICEF Indonesia
UNICEF Indonesia is the Indonesia country office of UNICEF, the United Nations agency focused on children's rights. The office has worked in the country since 1948 and is headquartered in Jakarta, with field operations shaped around child survival, education, clean water, protection, and equity across one of the largest youth populations in Southeast Asia.
According to UNICEF's official Indonesia overview, the country office now runs through a Jakarta headquarters, five field offices, and two sub-offices, allowing the organization to work across both high-population centers and underserved regions. That scale matters because Indonesia's child-rights challenges are not concentrated in one market. They stretch from urban systems reform to frontline service delivery in remote provinces.
For HITKULTR readers, the office also sits inside a meaningful K-pop crossover lane. The Indonesia team became part of the wider SM Entertainment and UNICEF Korea partnership story in 2026, with Hearts2Hearts members Carmen and Jiwoo present in Jakarta as the initiative expanded into Indonesian school-focused sanitation and education support.
