March 1, 2026
It took nearly a decade, three group formations, a military service stint, and a complete artistic reinvention. On March 4, WOODZ (우즈) finally drops his first full-length album, Archive. 1, and launches a world tour to match. This is the milestone his fanbase, MOODZ, has been building toward since 2018.
The First Full Album
WOODZ, born Cho Seungyoun (조승연), has been putting out music since his solo debut eight years ago. EPs, mini-albums, digital singles. But never a full-length album. Archive. 1 changes that. Seventeen tracks, two title songs in "Human Extinction" and "NA NA NA," and a sound that pulls from the self-produced alternative R&B and rock-influenced catalog he has spent years building on his own terms.
The album is framed as an archive, literally. The teaser poster showed folders arranged on a computer screen, a reference to years of unreleased material finally being made available. Pre-release tracks "CINEMA" and "Bloodline" set the table in February. "CINEMA" in particular, a film-narrative structure laid over an emotional, high-note-driven chorus, was one of the most-anticipated songs in the set after WOODZ previewed it during his 2025 solo concert to a roaring response.
His 2023 B-side "Drowning" adds context to how significant this moment is. The track sat dormant until WOODZ performed it during military service, at which point it went viral and refused to stop climbing. It ended 2025 at number one on Melon's annual chart, the biggest streaming platform in Korea. That kind of momentum, built on a B-side from two years prior, is a direct statement on the depth of WOODZ's catalog. Archive. 1 is his answer: here is the rest of it.
The Journey to Get Here
WOODZ did not arrive at a solo debut cleanly. He started as a member of UNIQ (유니크), a Korean-Chinese co-production group that debuted in October 2014. After the group's Korean activities slowed, he began solo work under the name Luizy before rebranding as WOODZ in 2018.
Then came Mnet's Produce X 101 in 2019. He ranked fifth and debuted with X1 (엑스원), a temporary group that dissolved in January 2020 following the vote manipulation scandal that shook the Produce franchise. It was a brutal industry moment. WOODZ came out the other side, returned to his solo career, and spent the next several years turning himself into one of the more respected self-producing artists in the scene.
Military service ran from mid-2023 through 2025. He came back, released the single "I'll Never Love Again," and has not stopped moving since. Archive. 1 is the next chapter, and the world tour that follows it is his largest to date.
2026 World Tour: Archive. 1
The "Archive. 1" world tour kicks off in Incheon, Korea on March 14-15 and moves through 17-plus cities across Asia and beyond. Japan gets multiple dates: Osaka (March 28, Dojima River Forum), with Tokyo and Nagoya to follow. Southeast Asia is well-covered, with stops in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Manila, Jakarta, Bangkok, and Taipei confirmed or in the pipeline.
For Singapore, details are locked in. WOODZ performs on April 2 at 7:30 PM at The Theatre at Mediacorp, promoted by FriedRice Entertainment. Tickets go on sale March 2 at 12PM SGT via Ticketmaster.
Singapore Ticket Prices (SGD, excluding booking fees)
- VIP: S$308
- CAT 1: S$258
- CAT 2: S$208
- CAT 3: S$168
- CAT 4 (Restricted View): S$138
Fans who purchase before March 26, 2026 at 11:59PM SGT are eligible for a lucky draw, with prizes including a group photo opportunity with WOODZ. Winners are announced via FriedRice Entertainment's social channels.
This is his first world tour since OO-LI in 2023, which ran to a sold-out encore. The expanded routing on the 2026 run reflects how much his profile has grown in the time since, particularly across Southeast Asia where the "Drowning" resurgence hit hardest.
What to Watch For
Archive. 1 arrives March 4 at 6 PM KST. It is WOODZ's clearest statement yet, seventeen tracks distilled from years of self-produced work, presented as a document. The title is not arbitrary. He has always been an artist who archives, who saves, who builds quietly before releasing. This is the release.
The tour follows immediately. For anyone in Southeast Asia, the April dates are the ones to move on.
