Bang Chan

Bang Chan (방찬), born Christopher Chahn Bahng on October 3, 1997 in Seoul and raised in Sydney, Australia, is the leader, main rapper, vocalist, and co-producer of Stray Kids. The elder brother of musician Hannah Bahng, he auditioned for JYP Entertainment at age 13 and relocated from Sydney to Seoul for a training period of nearly five years before forming Stray Kids through its 2017 survival show. Bang Chan is the creative backbone of Stray Kids as a founding member of 3RACHA, the group's in-house production unit alongside Changbin and Han. A full member of the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) since February 2023, he had over 200 songs registered under his name by early 2025, spanning contributions to Stray Kids albums and projects for external artists including JO1, Yao Chen, and Show Lo. He has collaborated with Alesso, Tiger JK, and Lil Durk. His production reach extends beyond K-pop. Bang Chan composed music for the 2024 Marvel film Deadpool and Wolverine and contributed original scores for anime series Tower of God and dramas including Re:Revenge - In the End of Desire. Since January 2025, he has been a global brand ambassador for Fendi. He hosts Chan's Room, a long-running fan interaction series that has made him one of the most accessible leaders in fourth-generation K-pop.
