CIX
CIX has spent its run proving that polished dark-pop idol music can still carry emotional weight when the writing and performance discipline are strong enough. Formed under C9 Entertainment, the group debuted in 2019 with Movie Star and quickly established a cleaner, moodier lane than many of its peers. The core four-member lineup of BX, Seunghun, Yonghee, and Hyunsuk carried that identity through a catalog that balanced vocal precision with sharper conceptual styling.
The group's shape changed in August 2024 when Bae Jin-young left, forcing CIX to keep moving as a four-piece. That smaller formation still held together because the act's real strength was never just numbers. It was the way BX anchored the tonal center, Seunghun and Yonghee handled the melodic lift, and Hyunsuk gave the stage picture a lighter, more agile edge. Releases like Numb, Cinema, and OK Episode 1 : OK Not kept that mix legible.
In April 2026, C9 confirmed that CIX would halt group activities after extended discussions around contract endings and Yonghee's enlistment timeline. That puts the page in a transition era rather than a clean active cycle. Even so, CIX still matters as one of the more coherent fourth-generation boy-group catalogs, and the members' next steps will likely be read against a group discography that never lost its sense of design.
