Cocona

Cocona (心那) is one of the sharpest performance weapons inside XG. Born Akiyama Kokona on December 6, 2005, in Tokyo, they debuted with the group in March 2022 under XGALX after coming through Avex's training system and the project-team pipeline that shaped XG before launch.

What makes Cocona land so hard is control. The voice is clipped and precise, the timing is aggressive, and the group uses that edge to change the temperature of a track fast. As XG pushed from Tippy Toes into AWE, Coachella, Tokyo Dome, and the 2026 full album THE CORE, Cocona stayed central to the member chemistry that makes the group feel more global than market-bound.

The pre-debut story matters too. Cocona trained through Avex Artist Academy Tokyo, won the singing division at Kira Challe in 2018 after earlier recognition in 2017, and built technique before most fans knew their name. That background explains why they rarely read like a rookie, even while still being the youngest member of XG.
