Gaon

Gaon (가온) is the rhythm guitarist and rapper of Xdinary Heroes (엑스디너리 히어로즈), the six-member rock band under JYP Entertainment's Studio J sub-label. Born Kwak Ji-seok on January 14, 2002, he brings a dual role to the group as the member most responsible for the percussive, groove-driven dimension of their guitar work. He debuted with the band on December 6, 2021, and has contributed to every release in the group's catalog since. His rhythm guitar playing provides the backbone for Xdinary Heroes' denser arrangements, anchoring tracks that often layer multiple guitars across hard rock, alternative, and post-punk-influenced territory. Gaon's rap contributions add texture to the group's vocal chemistry, distinguishing the band's approach from both traditional K-pop and straightforward rock acts. He is also an active co-writer on the band's original material, which covers their entire discography across eight mini albums and a debut full-length album.
