Xdinary Heroes

Xdinary Heroes (엑스디너리 히어로즈) is a six-member South Korean rock band under JYP Entertainment's Studio J sub-label. Formed from a 2021 audition process and officially debuting on December 6, 2021 with the single "Happy Death Day", the band entered a K-pop landscape with a proposition it has since proven true: a live-instrument, self-written rock group can build a global fanbase without compromising its format. The band's name is a contraction of "Extra Ordinary Heroes", a declaration that anyone can become a hero. Their fanbase, Villains, mirrors this dynamic. The six members bring a genuine instrument-driven approach: Gunil on drums, Jungsu on keyboards and vocals, Gaon on rhythm guitar and rap, O.de on synthesizer and rap, Jun Han on lead guitar, and Jooyeon on bass and lead vocals. In under four years, Xdinary Heroes have built one of the most consistent discographies in K-pop. Their catalog spans eight mini albums and the 2024 full-length debut Troubleshooting, all of which were written and produced by the band themselves. They have toured globally across two world tour legs, performed at Lollapalooza 2025, and drawn comparisons to the tradition of Japanese rock bands like ONE OK ROCK who have built western audiences through raw musicianship. Their 2026 mini album DEAD AND, announced March 20, 2026 with a pre-release on March 25 and full release April 17, continues that trajectory. Each album has pushed their sound further from debut-era post-punk toward harder, more cinematic rock territory.
