Giselle

Giselle (지젤), born Uchinaga Aeri (内永枝利) on October 30, 2000, in Gangnam District, Seoul, holds down the main rapper position in SM Entertainment's aespa. She grew up in Tokyo to a Japanese father and Korean mother, attended the International School of the Sacred Heart, and enrolled in SM after four audition attempts. She trained for 11 months before debuting with aespa in November 2020. One of the few genuinely trilingual performers in K-pop, fluent in Japanese, Korean, and English. Her influences run from Ariana Grande and Stevie Wonder to Blink-182, and she has been candid about pushing her voice into rock and rock ballad territory. That range shows in her collaborative work: features on BOL4's "Lips" (2024) and HAON's "Skrr" (2024), plus solo singles "Dopamine" and "Jet," both in 2024. As part of aespa, she contributed to the landmark ARMAGEDDON album (2024) and Rich Man EP (2025). In fashion, Giselle holds a global ambassador position with LOEWE, appointed March 2024. She is the first K-pop artist to cover Vogue Korea exclusively for LOEWE, with a March 2026 fashion film. Additional brand partnerships include SENKA, Either&, Wacky Willy, and Maison Kitsune. Her editorial aesthetic -- understated, architectural, Japanese cool layered over K-pop sensibility -- has made her a consistent presence in high-fashion media.
